Netflix to open 2 massive venues with experiences, shops themed to its shows
Netflix is planning to open immersive entertainment venues called Netflix Houses in two cities. These complexes, located in former department store spaces at the Dallas Galleria and King of Prussia mall, will offer events, themed gift shops, and restaurants. Each venue will occupy more than 100,000 square feet and is scheduled to launch in 2025. Netflix aims to recreate popular show experiences like the Glass Bridge challenge from “Squid Game.” However, critics question the sustainability of repeat business for these ventures. Netflix has previously succeeded with touring productions and events tied to its programming in different cities. This move is part of Netflix’s broader efforts to diversify its income beyond streaming and adapt to the tightening profits in the streaming industry.
